The 200-plus square miles of water in Charlotte Harbor teems with marine life of every shape, size and description. There are nearly 300 species of fish, 100 species of birds, sea turtles, alligators, manatees and the most popular animal of them all, Flipper! Charlotte Harbor is home to scores of Atlantic Bottlenosed Dolphins (sometimes mistakenly called porpoises). These beautiful, graceful animals delight in playing with our boats. They enjoy body surfing in the wake we create as we motor along, so make sure you have plenty of film in your camera. Click below and you'll see some photos of dolphins taken from our boats.
